ARTICLE 1: NAME OF THE SOCIETY

The Name of the Society shall be the “Society for Animal and Environmental Biology”

ARTICLE 2: OBJECTIVES OF THE SOCIETY

  1. To ensure a meeting point for Animal and Environmental Biology specialists as a professional body in Nigeria.
  2. To create an agency that shall maintain a high standard of professional ethics and discipline among Animal and Environmental Biology specialists.
  • To ensure that the standard of practice of members of the Society meet the international best practice.
  1. To establish and maintain high standard of animal and environmental education in Nigeria.
  2. To ensure prompt disseminate research findings through symposia, conferences and publications, in order to increase professional visibility and relevance in a dynamic world.
  3. To synergize with other organization with similar objectives and to do such other things as may be needful to the achievement of the aims and objectives of the Society.
  • To advance systematic study of the biology of animals, living and extinct, and environmental matters to foster the knowledge of their biodiversity.
  • To enhance the image of the society by setting training standards forits members and the award of membership status, fellowships and other recognitions to deserving persons.
